Version 2018.340/345 Released - Report Runner Batch and Report Runner Viewer

Batch:

  1. NEW: "Smart Auto HTML" mail format; this is intended to be a replacement for our previous "Crystal Auto HTML" format; with this new format, you can now much more easily export Crystal Reports report data DIRECTLY to email (this works with our bursting features, too); Our new proprietary format "scrapes" the report data from your report and meticulously formats it to look correct in email format. We have a lot of built-in AI to auto-format the report, but if something is not formatted correctly, we/support can now assist with giving SPECIFIC instructions on how to format the report so it will look right (this normally involves simply adding what we call a "spacer" single blank formula string field in between other fields on your report). Additionally, we have custom, pre-defined CSS that can be copied and formatted PER BATCH to modify fonts, font sizes, etc. You'll find that this new format has a more consistent look-and-feel among all of the major email now, too.
  2. NEW : We now support all languages for the ToWords() Crystal Reports function in formulas. Previously, whatever the current/local/default language was defined to the machine was supported. For example, if the language was English, then ToWords() would only support English. Now you can choose ANY language that Crystal Reports supports. This is handled via the batch-specific INI setting CrystalLanguageID.
  3. UPDATED: Licensing URL was changed back to non-SSL connection; this can be re-enabled if necessary via a JNRR_LICENSE.INI setting; we were having too many support issues with SSL connection errors to the licensing server due to older versions of .Net not supporting this type of connection via code; please note, the connections to our licensing server are encrypted anyway, so adding the SSL connection was essentially double-encrypted; the non-SSL connection is not dangerous
  4. UPDATED: Added additional easy licensing error messages to explain licensing failures (using wrong key from another machine, firewalls, security software, or no internet)
  5. UPDATED: Removed "legacy file checks" when opening of XML files; we had a lot of extra code that checked for older/legacy XML file formats; this can be re-enabled via a JNRRB.INI setting if a customer needs to migrate legacy files again; also added additional log file messages to show more date/time stamps when batch XML files are being opened
  6. UPDATED: Log file message added to show version of Crystal Reports used to create RPT file
  7. UPDATED: Log file message added to show printer saved in RPT file
  8. UPDATED: Log file message added to show field delimiters and separators when character separated export formats are used
  9. UPDATED: Log file message added to show parameter date values both prior to and after conversion based on date formats and formatting
  10. UPDATED: Log file message much larger and emphasized when password displaying is enabled for log files
  11. UPDATED: Additional random log file messages added and some log file formatting was tweaked
  12. BUG FIX: Fixed an issue where Scheduler interface was requiring a current/future date to be set even when deleting or disabling a schedule
