This is not a critical update unless you are using Report Runner Batch release 2013.177. It is a recommended update for all users, though. Knowing the version of Crystal Reports used to create RPT file is quite helpful in debugging issues.

To update, simply go to the product information page for any product and download the latest update. The updater is the same for Batch, Viewer, and Documentor, and it only needs to be run once. It will update all products installed.
